Parent and Child

Parent & Child Summer Program

Make friends from around the world!

ACCESS Summer English Language Camps are designed for children and teens who want to have fun while they are learning English! Participants will make friends from around the world, visit exciting tourist sites, and get to know Canada all at the same time.

On weekdays students attend English classes and participate in exciting trips and activities. The weekends include day trips to various destinations. Led by our teachers, the trips are a fun way for students to see the Toronto area with their classmates, meet students from other countries around the world, and practice English all at the same time!

Students have the option of choosing from two camps: Our TORONTO CENTRE camp, located in downtown Toronto, gives students the excitement of living and studying in a big city. Our TORONTO WEST camp, located in Hamilton, gives students the experience of living in a smaller city in the middle of Toronto and Niagara Falls. Students visit Toronto on many of our teacher-guided day trips.

Whichever camp is chosen, students are guaranteed to go home with memories to last a lifetime!

English Classes

ACCESS classes focus on teaching fundamental skills (grammar, writing, reading, speaking and listening) in an integrated way. Teachers use the communicative approach, and careful attention is paid to ensuring lessons are both interactive and fun. Students will practice speaking in pairs and small groups. All classes pay special focus to developing oral skills. On the first day of class, students will take a written and verbal English language test, and are then placed in the corresponding level with a mix of students from other countries. Classes have a maximum of 15 students.

Class hours are longer Monday to Thursday afternoons in order to compensate for no classes Friday afternoon.
Friday afternoons students are invited to participate in the “Free Friday” activity.

Trips & Activities

Trips and activities are an integral part of the ACCESS Summer English Language Camp program. We believe that students learn through doing, and participating in after school aACCESS_Parent&Child_Summer2024.pdf
